A modular two-piece bolt system for firearms with blowback actions provides a rear bolt piece which detachably couples to plural different front bolt pieces each of different mass. The front bolt pieces have a similar configuration and common coupling interface which forms an interlocked relationship with a complementary configured coupling interface on the rear bolt piece to prevent axial separation of the pieces when the action of the firearm is cycled. The system allows various front bolt pieces to be selected and used interchangeably with the rear bolt piece so that a front bolt piece of proper mass can be matched to the energy of ammunition to be fired. The front and rear bolt pieces when coupled define a continuous extended longitudinal passage which receives the rear breech end portion of the firearm barrel therethrough to reduce the projected length of the barrel.

A cylindrical machine gun ammunition carrier drum device with hand crank and spindle, which allows operator to regulate belt-fed ammunition at a proper cyclic rate of fire and reload linked ammunition in an efficient, accelerated manner. This retract and release belt-fed ammunition method would provide proper tension and uniformity to the linked rounds, preventing the weapon from malfunctioning and improve cyclic dispersion of ammunition. This method applies to all calibers of belt-fed personal and crew-served automatic weapons. The external hand crank and internal spindle would work in unison to recover the belt if it is yanked from the cylindrical drum container prematurely. A flexible warning device ribbon connected by ammunition links would ensure all rounds are expended from within the drum when abridged from spindle to belt. Additionally, this internal warning device can be linked between belts at operator's preference.

The disclosure introduces a technique to expand the aperture of an optical system like an Autocollimator by interconnecting two or more rhomboidal prisms in a sequential manner. This method involves securing the initial rhomboid to the autocollimator's aperture using a rotating component at its base. Subsequently, a second rotating component is attached to the exit end of the first rhomboid, enabling individual rotation for both rhomboids. These prisms are coated with distinct partial mirror coatings. The processing of the reflected image from these rhomboids are conducted to ascertain the deviation in the line of sight caused by their presence and positioning. A microprocessor computes the measurement of the back reflected beams concerning the rhomboids' positions, determining beam deviations resulting from imperfections in the manufacturing of the rhomboids. The identified imperfections are employed to rectify the outcomes derived from the assembly of rhomboids, ensuring heightened precision in the collected data.

There is also disclosed a system for determining where the different sensors are to be deployed around the blast site for optimal sensing and data collection using multiple of a sensor or multiple sensors. An aspect of the present disclosure provides a method of determining detonation of explosives of a blast based on a blast plan. The method comprises receiving sensor data from sensors monitoring the blast; pre-processing the received sensor data; and determining outcomes of the blast based on the pre-processed data in correlation with the blast plan.

Apparatus and method for compiling an image is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a deflector, a detector, and a processor. The deflector is operable to deflect light incident thereon by a controllable angular deflection, and is arranged to receive light from a moveable field of view within a field of regard by controlling the angular deflection. The detector is arranged to receive deflected light and output an image component composed from the deflected light. The processor is arranged to control the angular deflection to select a part of the field of regard to be received at the detector, and to receive a sequence of such image components from the detector. The apparatus is configured to receive each image component passively, and the processor is operable to compile the sequence of image components to form a composite image of at least a part of the field of regard.

A small game sling includes a main body member and a series of individual retention straps or cords attached to each end of the main body member. One end of the retention straps is attached to the main body member, and a loop, ring or clip is preferably attached to the distal end thereof. The main body member includes a pair of flaps, wherein a first flap is positioned on one side of the main body member, and a second flap is positioned on an opposed side thereof. The flaps, in one embodiment, include attachment means, such as snaps, buttons, hook and loop fastener material (Velcro), or any other attachment mechanism so that the flaps may be folded inwardly over the main body member and attached to one another, so that the small game sling may be removably attached to the strap of a rifle, shotgun, or the like.
