In various embodiments, an apparatus to operate with a firearm grip is provided, in which the firearm grip includes two openings, including a magazine receptacle and an aftly-positioned additional opening, the openings partitioned by a wall, the apparatus comprising: a retention system insertable into the aftly-positioned additional opening, the retention system including: a drive section; and an expansion section, driven by the drive section, and configured to restrict expansion to direction(s) that are not toward the wall. An apparatus to operate with a firearm grip, in which the firearm grip includes two openings, including a magazine receptacle and an aftly-positioned additional opening, the openings partitioned by a wall, the apparatus comprising: a retention system insertable into the aftly-positioned additional opening, the retention system including: a drive section; and an expansion section including an exterior, the expansion section driven by the drive section; wherein a portion of the exterior, operable to engage an interior of the aftly-positioned opening to retain a body of the retention system in the aftly-positioned additional opening, is drivable against a receiving portion of the interior, characterized in that said receiving portion is not part of said wall. a retention system insertable into the aftly-positioned additional opening, the retention system including: a drive section; and an expansion section including an exterior, the expansion section driven by the drive section; wherein a portion of the exterior, operable to engage an interior of the aftly-positioned opening to retain a body of the retention system in the aftly-positioned additional opening, is drivable against a receiving portion of the interior, characterized in that said receiving portion is not part of said wall. a drive section; and an expansion section including an exterior, the expansion section driven by the drive section; wherein a portion of the exterior, operable to engage an interior of the aftly-positioned opening to retain a body of the retention system in the aftly-positioned additional opening, is drivable against a receiving portion of the interior, characterized in that said receiving portion is not part of said wall.
