An apparatus and methods are provided for a cam race for improving the longevity of an upper receiver of a direct gas operated firearm. The cam race provides a hardened slide face and a corner surface for a cam pin comprising a bolt carrier group of the firearm. The cam race is configured to be secured into a window disposed in the upper receiver. The window is surrounded by a counterbored area that receives a back plate of the cam race. The counterbored area and the thickness of the back plate cooperate such that the corner surface and the slide face are positioned to receive the cam pin during reciprocal movement of a bolt carrier group within the upper receiver. The cam race is retained in the upper receiver by fasteners that are tightened into threaded holes in the counterbored area.

A guidance tab is provided for separating a cartridge round at its base from an aft linkage bracket within an ammunition chain. The tab includes a plate, a pair of legs and a pair of feet, and is composed of polyamide-imide. The plate has an obverse surface for engaging the base of the cartridge round and a reverse surface for engaging the aft linkage bracket. The plate is oriented along a longitudinal direction of the ammunition train and a lateral direction orthogonal to an axial direction of the cartridge round. The pair of legs extends from flanking sides of the plate in the axial direction towards the aft linkage bracket. The pair of feet extend substantially parallel to the plate. Each foot extends from a respective leg of the pair of legs.

The present disclosure provides systems, devices, and techniques that can be implemented at a gun, such as an electromechanical gun. The gun may include a barrel located within a slide and a cylindrical spring enveloping the barrel. The barrel may be configured to act as a guide rod for the cylindrical spring, and the cylindrical spring may be configured to bias the slide in a forward battery position. The gun may include an electronic component such as an energy store, a processor, or a circuit board, located under the barrel and forward of the trigger when the gun is in an upright position. The gun may include a physical transmission medium that electronically couples the electronic component with an additional electronic component located rearward of the trigger, and the physical transmission medium may be at least partially encapsulated by a trigger guard.

A gun targeting system ( 10 ) comprising a chassis ( 200 ). A gun barrel ( 300 ) is mounted to the chassis ( 200 ) by a pivot mount ( 304 ). The system also comprises a chassis suspension system ( 400 ) comprising a plurality of wheel arms ( 402 ), each wheel arm ( 402 ) extending away from a different chassis mount ( 220 ) on the chassis ( 200 ) to a respective wheel ( 404 ), each wheel ( 404 ) being rotatably mounted on its respective wheel arm ( 402 ), each wheel ( 404 ) configured for engagement with a support surface ( 500 ). The gun targeting system ( 10 ) is operable to position the barrel ( 300 ) towards an orientation to target an object by pivoting one or more wheel arms ( 402 ) relative to the chassis ( 200 ) and/or by pivoting one or more wheels ( 404 ) relative to its respective wheel arm ( 402 ) and/or by rotating one or more wheels ( 404 ) relative to its respective wheel arm ( 402 ).

In some embodiments, an archery bow comprises a riser comprising a grip location and a cavity. A first limb is supported by the riser and attached by a first limb fastener. A second limb is supported by the riser and attached by a second limb fastener. A bowstring extends between the limbs. A vibration damper is located in the cavity, the vibration damper comprising a resilient member and a weight. A first distance from the bowstring to the first limb fastener is less than a second distance from the bowstring to the vibration damper.
