A firearm platform and method of connecting an upper receiver to a lower receiver. The upper receiver has a pivot lug and a takedown lug with perimeter openings in opposite directions. The lower receiver has a locking member that pushes against the takedown lug which causes the upper receiver to displace forward. As a result of the forward displacement, a pivot pin in the lower receiver exerts an opposing force against the pivot lug. The locking member is displaced between a locked and unlocked position through a lever located on an exterior surface of the lower receiver. When the locking member is in the locked position, the lower receiver and uppers receiver form a connection that is tight and free from slop.

The drive shaft can be automatically locked and unlocked relative to the one-way bearing, allowing the bearing to control operation of the drive shaft, via a brake. The brake can be axially compressible along the drive shaft to automatically lock the drive shaft and a sleeve so they are fixed relative to one another and rotate in unison when the drive shaft is rotated in the first direction. The brake can be deactivated by operation of a crank so that the drive shaft can rotate freely relative to the sleeve and thus the bearing in a second direction. A related method of use is provided.

An adjustable finger support for an archery release includes a handle having a longitudinal axis, top and bottom portions and interior and exterior side surfaces. A pair of finger beds are configured for pivotal connection with the handle. A network server which is in communication with each of the scopes via an electronic network is configured to determine whether it is possible for any of the additional ground-based scopes to reach a suitable, unobstructed position to view the presumed target, and electronically communicate to the aerial-mounted scope the current target position data regarding the presumed target identified by the first ground-based scope when it is determined that it is not possible for any of the additional ground-based scopes to reach a suitable, unobstructed position to view the presumed target. The aerial-mounted scope is configured to be deployed to reach a suitable, unobstructed position to view the presumed target when it is determined that it is not possible for any of the additional ground-based scopes to reach a suitable, unobstructed position to view the presumed target. In another embodiment, the aerial-mounted scope is deployed when the time and effort for any of the additional ground-based scopes to reach a suitable, unobstructed position to view the presumed target does not meet acceptable conditions.

An apparatus and methods are provided for a suppressor to be coupled with a muzzle end of a barrel of a firearm to reduce muzzle blast and muzzle flash. The suppressor comprises a housing having a proximal end and a distal end. A front portion within the housing comprises a series of cylindrical gas expansion chambers for attenuating the temperature and energy of propellant gases accompanying a projectile fired from the firearm. An annular gas expansion chamber surrounds the cylindrical gas expansion chambers and directs a portion of the propellant gases from a rear portion of the suppressor to peripheral vents disposed at the distal end. Lateral chambers within the rear portion deflect and rebound a portion of the propellant gases before passing them into the annular gas expansion chamber. Ledges within the annular gas expansion chamber direct the propellant gases distally through suppressor toward the peripheral vents.

The detonator includes a semiconductor bridge, coupled with the explosive material, including thermal feedback mechanism is provided via one or more thermistors. An exemplary mechanism includes a semiconductor bridge with a polysilicon resistor and a pair of thermistors. The two thermistors are disposed to be substantially close to or sandwich the polysilicon resistor. When the temperature surrounding the polysilicon resistor is getting upwards, the temperature surrounding the thermistors is equally going up. When the temperature reaches a critical point, but below the threshold of the polysilicon resistor, the resistance of the thermistors drops suddenly or drastically, causing the current driving up the temperature of the polysilicon resistor to divert through the VOX temp resistors. Subsequently the current going through the polysilicon resistor is reduced, causing the temperature to drop downwards.

An adjustable finger support for an archery release includes a handle portion having a longitudinal axis, top and bottom portions and interior and exterior side surfaces. A finger bed is pivotally connected with the handle portion for movement about a pivot axis at the top of the finger bed parallel to the longitudinal axis. Preferably, the finger bed is arranged in a recess in the handle portion exterior side surface for pivotal movement therein relative to the handle portion. The bottom portion of the finger bed is spaced from the handle portion at an angle desired by the archer and locked into place. Angular adjustment provides an optimal fit for the archer and better positions a head portion of the archery release toward a target.

A method of making a holster for a gun includes selecting a starting polymer material, a starting leather material, and a gun model; preparing a first side of the polymer material by creating texture on the first side; adhering the polymer material and the leather material together to create a combined material; cutting the combined material into a specific shape as determined by the gun model and a desired holster model; stitching around a perimeter of the cut combined material with a pre-selected thread to render a stitched combined material; heating up the stitched combined material to above a predetermined temperature; forming the stitched combined material to a specific shape associated with the gun model and the holster model; and allowing the stitched combined material to cool into the specific shape associated with the gun model and the holster model to render the holster.

A stabilized end cap for covering one end of a common launch tube on a military aircraft is disclosed. The stabilized end cap includes a central body having a portion with a disk-shape configuration. In some cases, the stabilized end cap has a peripheral extension that extends radially outward from the periphery of the central body, and the peripheral extension is provided with an aerodynamic configuration. In other cases, the stabilized end cap has at least one aerodynamic extension extending longitudinally outward from the outside surface of the central body.

A calibration assembly for a guided vehicle. The calibration assembly includes an orientation marker that operably engages with a first guidance apparatus of the guided vehicle. The calibration assembly also includes an imaging assembly that operably engages with and is in electrical communication with a second guidance apparatus of the guided vehicle. When the imaging assembly captures the orientation marker at a translated position for at least one cycle, the imaging assembly calibrates a rotational displacement between a first guidance direction of the first guidance apparatus and a second guidance direction of the second guidance apparatus based on an angular displacement of the orientation marker measured between a zeroed position denoting the first guidance direction and the translated position.
