US12704341 - Suppressor baffle

The patent describes a suppressor baffle featuring a cone-shaped design with an oblique projectile opening and varying internal volumes to enhance sound suppression. Additionally, the baffle includes walls that connect to an outer housing and are configured to direct gases effectively towards the projectile opening.
Claim 1
1 . A suppressor baffle comprising: a baffle cone expanding along a central axis from a proximal end that defines a projectile opening to an open distal end having an outer rim, wherein the projectile opening is in an entrance plane oriented obliquely to the central axis, and wherein a first volume between a first side of the cone and a central plane that includes the central axis is smaller than a second volume between an opposite second side of the baffle cone and the central plane; and one or more walls extending axially rearward from the first side of the baffle cone, the one or more walls having a radially outer portion that extends axially rearward from the outer rim, the outer portion configured to connect axially along an outer housing, the one or more walls also extending radially inward from the outer portion toward the projectile opening; wherein the one or more walls includes at least two walls joining at a vertex directed towards the projectile opening; and wherein the first side of the baffle cone is shifted distally with respect to the second side of the baffle cone. a baffle cone expanding along a central axis from a proximal end that defines a projectile opening to an open distal end having an outer rim, wherein the projectile opening is in an entrance plane oriented obliquely to the central axis, and wherein a first volume between a first side of the cone and a central plane that includes the central axis is smaller than a second volume between an opposite second side of the baffle cone and the central plane; and one or more walls extending axially rearward from the first side of the baffle cone, the one or more walls having a radially outer portion that extends axially rearward from the outer rim, the outer portion configured to connect axially along an outer housing, the one or more walls also extending radially inward from the outer portion toward the projectile opening; wherein the one or more walls includes at least two walls joining at a vertex directed towards the projectile opening; and wherein the first side of the baffle cone is shifted distally with respect to the second side of the baffle cone.
