In the pistol frame, over the trigger bar ( 7 ), a disassembling lever ( 11 ) is arranged that has a button ( 11 d ) and a pivot ( 11 a ) that carries a cam ( 18 ) for engagement with the trigger bar ( 7 ). The cross pin ( 29 ) passes through a guide cam ( 7 e ) arranged in the vertical surface ( 7 m ). The vertical surface ( 7 m ) has, at its side facing the magazine ( 39 ), a contact surface ( 7 i ) for the magazine ( 39 ). An arm ( 7 k ) protrudes from the frame part ( 7 c ) at its front side with respect to the shooting direction. A pulling thumb ( 7 a ) and at a distance from it, a support stop ( 7 j ) being arranged at the free end of the arm ( 7 k ). The cam ( 18 ) has a nose ( 18 a ) at one side and a protrusion ( 18 b ) at the opposite side. A bushing/compensator device for a firearm is provided that includes a compensator member having a first aperture having an axis that is coaxial with the axis of the barrel. A second aperture has an axis that is coaxial with the axis of the guide rod when the device is mounted on the slide. A quarter turn bayonet mount is disposed at a rear end of the first aperture that mates with a bayonet mount aperture in the slide. When the bayonet mount is locked, the axis of the second aperture is aligned with the axis of the guide rod of the pistol, and when the bayonet mount is unlocked, the device is removable from the slide. A button assembly is retained in the second aperture and includes a head at one end and a fastener at the other. The rod is slidable from a first position wherein the head is adjacent to the front end of the second aperture, to a second position wherein the second end of the rod depresses the recoil spring plug. A spring biases the rod to the first position.

The slide stop, located rearward of the magazine, is designed to switch from a low to a high position. In its high position, the slide stop locks the slide in a rearward position. The pistol also includes a control lever for the slide stop, which is attached at one end to rotate about a pin forward of the magazine. The control lever includes a feeler that is lifted by the control actuator when the magazine is empty, causing the slide stop to switch from its low to high position. The slide stop may have ambidextrous manual releases rigidly connected to each other across the pistol.

A trigger assembly connected to the frame engages a magazine with a follower or cam surface by which trigger assembly advances the magazine within the well and indexes the magazine along its length to sequentially align each chamber with the barrel, and sequentially discharge each cartridge in the magazine. The follower elements may be arranged parallel to the length of the magazine so that each may be associated with a particular chamber. A “safety” condition is effectible by pushing a loaded magazine downward and into a concealable condition with its chambers out of alignment with the gun barrel and wherein a transfer bar safety blocks the hammer from inserting its firing pin into a magazine chamber.

The ledge surfaces have a plurality of different regions along their lengths with the different regions having different overlaps. The ledge surfaces may have a greater overlap at end portions, and a lesser overlap amount at an intermediate portion, with the intermediate position being proximate the magazine well, and preferably a portion of at least one of the frame rail ends remains engaged with at least one of the frame rails during motions between battery and recoil positions.
