A garage door assembly provides resistance to both bullets and impacts while enabling the garage door to move between a horizontal open position and a vertical closed position. The garage door is formed with panels having a front impact shield, a rear plate, and high strength ballistic material sandwiched therebetween. Each panel is formed with a rearwardly extending structure that incorporates lateral extensions of the ballistic material in the panel and forms a hollow portion that encircles a bollard on opposing sides of the garage door. Each panel has a horizontal end cap at the opposing horizontal edges thereof, interconnected by opposing threaded members to encapsulate the sandwich construction of the panels. A cable overlapping the panels can be clamped to horizontal edges of each panel to reinforce the central portion of the garage door. The thickness of the front impact shield varies the resistance characteristics of the door.

A projectile impact simulation device comprising a housing, a mounting attachment, at least two high-voltage pins, and a shock zone. The housing has a circuit board electrically coupled to high-voltage receptacles that are configured to receive a first end of a high-voltage pin. The housing also has a back surface configured to rest adjacent to a user when the user wears the device. The mounting attachment is coupled to the back surface and configured to couple the device to the user. The high-voltage pins are embedded within the housing and configured to couple with the high-voltage receptacles. Two contact pads exposed on the back surface each have an electrical contact coupled with the high-voltage pins. When a voltage differential is applied across the contact pads, the device is configured to cause an electric arc in the shock zone. When the device is worn by a user, the electric arc shocks the user.

A bullet casing impact reducer is disclosed herein. The bullet casing impact reducer includes an upper frame member and a flexible drape member configured to be hung from the upper frame member so as to extend downwardly from the upper frame member, the flexible drape member configured to absorb an impact of a bullet casing after the bullet casing is expelled from a firearm so as to reduce a likelihood that the bullet casing is deflected back towards a shooter of the firearm. In some embodiments, the bullet casing impact reducer further includes a lower frame member configured to be mounted at a bottom end of the flexible drape member, and the lower frame member and a looped lower end portion of the flexible drape member configured to collectively form a collection bin for receiving bullet casings after the bullet casings are expelled from the firearm.
