US12754002 - External homogenization systems and methods related thereto

The patent describes systems and methods for delivering explosives that incorporate homogenizing agents mixed with emulsion matrices. The process involves supplying an emulsion matrix and a homogenizing agent, mixing them to create a homogenized product, and then sensitizing and conveying this product to a blasthole.
Claim 1
1 . A method of delivering explosives comprising: supplying an emulsion matrix from a first reservoir, said emulsion matrix comprising a continuous fuel phase and a discontinuous oxidizer phase; supplying a homogenizing agent from a second reservoir; conveying the emulsion matrix and the homogenizing agent to a mixer; mixing the homogenizing agent with the emulsion matrix with the mixer to produce a mixed product; homogenizing the mixed product into a homogenized product; sensitizing the homogenized product; and conveying the sensitized product to a blasthole. supplying an emulsion matrix from a first reservoir, said emulsion matrix comprising a continuous fuel phase and a discontinuous oxidizer phase; supplying a homogenizing agent from a second reservoir; conveying the emulsion matrix and the homogenizing agent to a mixer; mixing the homogenizing agent with the emulsion matrix with the mixer to produce a mixed product; homogenizing the mixed product into a homogenized product; sensitizing the homogenized product; and conveying the sensitized product to a blasthole.
