An avalanche triggering apparatus having a tower that is connected to a base and two detonation chambers. Two pairs of gas supply lines are configured to deliver fuel gas and an oxidizer to the two detonation chambers. Two spark plugs are configured to initiate combustion of gases within the detonation chambers when activated by one of two flow switches. One or more batteries are configured to provide electricity to the two spark plugs. The detonation chambers are connected to the tower via a central mounting assembly, two detonation mounting assemblies, and a plurality of isolator springs disposed between the central mounting assembly and each of the two detonation mounting assemblies. The central mounting assembly is comprised of a main gusset plate, two side plates, two rear plates, a top frame, and a bottom frame. Each detonation mounting assembly is comprised of a central plate and two side plates.

An assembly ( 7 ) for triggering an explosive in a hole ( 9 ) to produce an explosive blast in the hole includes (a) an explosion trigger ( 15, 19 ) for triggering the explosive in the hole, (b) a detonation unit body ( 21 ) that is configured to be located at or proximate an open end of the hole in an initial position of the assembly in the hole and (c) a trigger cord ( 31 ) that is connected to the detonation unit body and to the explosion trigger.

A hand-throwable effect-producing body with a manually graspable housing body, a manually operable triggering device having a spring-loaded impact body, an ignition device initiatable by the triggering device and comprises an ignition charge, a delay device is initiatable by the ignition device and comprises a delay charge and a delay line, and a main charge configured to be initiated directly or indirectly by the delay charge. The impact body is configured to be manually moved along the longitudinal axis thereof counter to a spring force into a preloaded position and to be releasably arrested there and to be released by manually operating a triggering element of the triggering device, such that it can shoot out of its preloaded position along the longitudinal axis against an axial stop and thereby initiate the ignition charge.
