Various embodiments are directed to ambidextrous firearm controls, including an ambidextrous bolt control assembly and/or ambidextrous magazine release and associated methods. The ambidextrous bolt control assembly may include a bolt catch configured to hingedly connect to a firearm to rotate between a disengaged position and an engaged position, the bolt catch may include a first bolt catch engagement button operable from a first side of the firearm and a first bolt catch release button operable from the first side of the firearm; an ambidextrous bolt catch engagement button operable from a second side of the firearm; and an ambidextrous bolt catch release button operable from the second side of the firearm; wherein the ambidextrous bolt catch engagement button and the ambidextrous bolt catch release button may each be separately movable relative to the firearm. The ambidextrous bolt catch assembly may further include an ambidextrous magazine release assembly.

US12313368 - Storage and loading system for large caliber ammunition

A magazine for large ammunition includes a plurality of ammunition holders, with each ammunition holder being configured to operatively interface with a single round of ammunition. Each ammunition holder comprises an outer body, and an inner body configured to interface with the single round of ammunition. The inner body is transitional relative to the outer body between a first position and a second position, with the inner body extending out of the outer body as the inner body transitions from the first position toward the second position. The inner body is configured to release the single round of ammunition in response to the inner body being transitioned to the second position. The magazine additionally includes a plurality of links, with each link being coupled to a pair of the plurality of ammunition holders.

A magazine is provided for a firearm. The magazine comprises a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism has a user interface adapted to enable a user to select between a locked condition and an unlocked condition. The locking mechanism has a rotor movable between a first rotational position when the locking mechanism is in the locked condition and a second rotational position when the locking mechanism is in the unlocked condition. The magazine comprises an elongated shaft connected to the rotor. The magazine comprises a block element connected to the elongated shaft. The block element is adapted to move between a first position when the locking mechanism is in the locked condition in which at least one of firearm operation and magazine extraction are prevented, and a second position when the locking mechanism is in the unlocked condition in which firearm operation and magazine extraction are enabled.

Jam-resistant drum magazines and related methods are disclosed. In some implementations, a jam-resistant drum magazine includes a drum, which may have a base, a body, and a top. Some implementations of the drum include a tiered component having a platform extending from a support, and some implementations have a channeled component having a channel configured to receive a round of ammunition. Some implementations include a transition drum, which may have a cylinder with a chamber configured to receive the round of ammunition from the channel. In some implementations, the tiered component is configured to rotate with respect to the channeled component, thereby causing the round of ammunition to move along the platform toward the transition drum.

US12292247 - Systems and methods for locking and unlocking a gun

A lock apparatus for a gun, includes a magazine lock. The magazine lock is configured to fit into a magazine opening of the gun. The magazine lock further includes an interference member. The interference member is configured from a flexible material. The interference member is fastened to a first end of the magazine lock. The flexible material forms a loop. When the loop is inserted into the magazine opening the loop exits out of an open chamber of the gun thereby enabling an external lock to capture the loop placing the gun in a LOCKED state.

An increased capacity replacement firearm ammunition magazine for a polymer or polymer-over-metal single stack firearm ammunition magazine for a GlockĀ® handgun, comprises a metallic body dimensioned to compatibly replace the single stack magazine for the GlockĀ® handgun, the single stack magazine having a body having exterior dimensions defined by polymer or polymer-over-metal forward, aft, and side walls, the metallic body having exterior dimensions defined by metallic forward, aft, and side walls, an exterior width dimension of the metallic side walls compatibly matching an exterior width dimension of the side walls of the single stack magazine body, the metallic walls being thinner than the walls of the single stack magazine, the thinner metallic walls allowing an at least partially laterally offset arrangement of cartridges in the metallic body, the forward wall of the metallic body including at least one spacer extending along the forward wall, the spacer sized such that a forward-to-aft exterior dimension of the metallic body compatibly matches a forward-to-aft exterior dimension of the single stack magazine body, a length dimension of the metallic body compatibly matches a length dimension of the single stack magazine body, a cut-out in the metallic body adapted to receive a firearm magazine catch therein, the cut-out including an upper edge, and polymer over at least the upper edge of the cut-out.
