A hunting or sports weapon with a handguard ( 4 ) attached to a receiver ( 5 ) and a barrel ( 3 ), wherein the barrel ( 3 ) with a cartridge chamber ( 34 ) leads into a breechblock ( 26 ) and forms a breech face ( 20 ) for the cartridge to be fired there, wherein a magazine well ( 24 ) for the introduction of a magazine ( 17 ) is arranged on or in the receiver ( 5 ), and on the receiver ( 5 ) a trigger unit ( 6 ), wherein a buttstock ( 11 ) adjoins the receiver ( 5 ), wherein the magazine ( 17 ) is arranged in a swivel unit ( 31 ) which can be swung away in a horizontal axis or in a plug unit ( 32 ) and is integrated at least partly in the buttstock ( 11 ).

An expandable broadhead is provided with a ferrule defining a slot within which one or more blades are moveably mounted to a pin. A retainer in the slot can secure the blades in a closed mode when an arrow associated with the broadhead is shot from an archery bow. The retainer can include a dimple and a blade can include a retainer hole within which the dimple nests to secure the blade. The retainer hole can be common with and/or extend from a mass reducing opening defined by the blade. The dimple can ride over contours of the blade on a path to enter the hole with significantly less force than that to release the dimple and retainer from, and deploy, the blade. The slot can increase in depth beyond the dimple to reduce frictional engagement of the blades with slot sidewalls during deployment. A related method is provided.

A firearm rest configured to attach to a mounting surface, such as the generally horizontal window sill of a hunting blind. The firearm rest includes a support member, support posts, and an attachment assembly. The support member provides a generally horizontal surface for a hunter to rest the forearm of a firearm. The support posts are configured to selectively adjust the height of the support member relative to the attachment assembly. The support posts are pivotably combined with the attachment assembly thereby allowing the support member to be movable between an extended position and a retracted position while the attachment assembly remains secured to the mounting surface. The retracted position is sometimes desirable to allow the hunter better access to the window or the window sill.

The present invention discloses a tripod for rifle hunting comprising a connecting head with legs hinged thereto. The legs can rotate inwardly or outwardly relative to the connecting head around a hinge axis, and a locking component is installed on the connecting head to limit inward rotation of the legs. Compared to existing technology, the locking component on the connecting head restricts the legs after they are extended, preventing inward rotation relative to the connecting head. This ensures that the legs do not rotate inward due to kick recoil during shooting, thus maintaining the stability of the tripod and preventing collapse due to kick recoil force.
