US12560415 - Integrally formed high-G shock metal isolator in a projectile

A projectile is integrally formed with a high-G shock isolator to isolate a protected device. The isolator includes a pattern of cut-outs formed around a circumference of a metal casing that defines flexures and supports and coupling paths that zigzag therethrough. Symmetry about the longitudinal axis of the projectile defines springs that are colinear with the principal axes of the projectile with a resonant frequency selected to attenuate shock inputs to levels acceptable to the protected device. The isolator is suitably provided with forward and aft stops to ensure isolator survivability. The aft stops are positioned in the cut-outs to prevent the flexures compressing beyond the yield strength of the casing material. The forward stop includes a structure rigidly attached behind the isolator that extends forward to engage a forward-facing surface of the isolator to prevent the flexures from stretching beyond the yield strength of the casing material.

US12498206 - Primer placement with shuttle

An apparatus, system, computer-readable medium, process, or combination thereof to seat a primer in a projectile casing. For example, a primer may be seated according to a depth indexed from a bottom of a projectile casing. A user, programmer, or control can seat, place, adjust, or otherwise determine a depth to seat a primer from a projectile casing bottom. A method to index a depth to seat a primer from a base of a projectile casing.

US12442626 - Two-part polymer ammunition casing

A method of manufacturing a casing for an ammunition cartridge includes injection molding a first polymer forming a first part of the casing. The first part is cylindrically shaped along a longitudinal axis extending from a projectile end opposite a stepped end. The stepped end forms a first end of a mechanical connection. A portion of the injection mold is removed and an additional injection mold is disposed about the stepped end of the first end of the first part and a second polymer injected forms a second part of the casing. The second part includes a second stepped end forming a second end of the mechanical connection. The first and second end are mechanically locked together preventing a separation of the first part from the second part. A thermal swagging tool forms a conical tapered region along the projectile end of the first part.

US12422204 - Configurable firearm shell casing catching system

A firearm shell casing catching system for collecting casings ejected from a firearm includes a mounting assembly, casing deflector, and a hopper. A shim can be optionally attached to the mounting assembly thereby decreasing the inside dimension of the mounting assembly to allow for the firearm shell casing catching system to be attached to magwells of firearms having different sizes.

US12379173 - Bullet casing impact reducer

A bullet casing impact reducer is disclosed herein. The bullet casing impact reducer includes an upper frame member and a flexible drape member configured to be hung from the upper frame member so as to extend downwardly from the upper frame member, the flexible drape member configured to absorb an impact of a bullet casing after the bullet casing is expelled from a firearm so as to reduce a likelihood that the bullet casing is deflected back towards a shooter of the firearm. In some embodiments, the bullet casing impact reducer further includes a lower frame member configured to be mounted at a bottom end of the flexible drape member, and the lower frame member and a looped lower end portion of the flexible drape member configured to collectively form a collection bin for receiving bullet casings after the bullet casings are expelled from the firearm.

US12352547 - Modifying a projectile casing

An apparatus, system, computer-readable medium, process, die, or combination thereof to modify a projectile casing. For example, a die and mandrel can be used to shape, resize, or otherwise modify a projectile casing. A die can include different portions or sections, where the portions or sections are designed to shape or size different portions of the projectile casing such as the neck, shoulder, or body of a projectile casing. A method to insert a projectile casing into a die, where the die already includes a mandrel, and then extracting the mandrel while the die and projectile casings are held in place.

US12287184 - Ammunition cartridge casing

An ammunition cartridge casing is provided having a primer body and a casing body. The primer body has an inner primer portion and an outer primer portion configured to nest in conformance with an outer surface of the inner primer portion. The outer surface of the inner primer portion provides a circumferential trench having a radially outwardly extending circumferential wall portion contiguous with an axially extending circumferential wall portion. The casing body has a distal end portion and a proximal end portion. The proximal end portion of the casing body is interposed between the inner primer portion and the outer primer portion within the trench having an interlocked axially extending circumferential portion and an interlocked radially outwardly extending disc portion of the casing body entrapped between the inner primer portion and the outer primer portion. A method is also provided.
