Exemplary embodiments of apparatus and methods for remotely and explosively cutting the casing of a UXO and separating the fuzing components from the main charge in the UXO. A remote explosive separation tool creates a Linear Explosively Formed Projectile (LEFP) charge to separate fuzing components from live explosive threats in UXO, for example only, a 155 mm artillery round. The tool functions by explosively deforming a copper liner into a linear projectile or penetrator which then impacts the UXO casing. The speed of impact enables the fuzing elements of the UXO to be removed from the main charge of the UXO either by directly cutting the fuze elements off or by imparting the fuze elements with enough momentum such that they break off. The process of dismembering the fuze elements occurs without detonating the main charge of the UXO. The tool may be remotely placed by an unmanned vehicle.

The invention relates to an electronic device that is used to block the accessibility of a firearms Trigger. Wherein an electronic device is mounted on a rail or rail accessory and is locked in place using a lock and frame allowing the device to fit an array of firearms. The lock and frame are in place to stop easy removal unless the possessor has the key to remove them. The device its self uses a battery to operate and picks up a transmission broadcasted from a Bluetooth within its programmed range by the use of a Bluetooth proximity detector. Once the transmission has been picked up it activates its locking mechanism in the form of a solenoid causing its pin to shift and allows a slide placed in front of the trigger acting as a second trigger to move back and forth allowing the movement of the firearms trigger. The slide is moved back into its original position by the use of a spring. When the Bluetooth is out of the device's proximity detectors programmed range, the solenoid returns to its locked state stopping access to the trigger. A method for reconstructing a horn antenna to form the horn antenna with increased power, includes constructively increasing a number of antennas toward a respective HPEM source and orienting remaining antennas in a row relative to the first antenna, increasing the waveguide length, and keeping other dimensions of the horn antenna unchanged.

A firearm target is formed from a cardboard substrate. A first target is printed on the cardboard substrate. The cardboard substrate is folded into a box shape. The cardboard substrate is cut to form a first flap and a second flap on a first side of the cardboard substrate. The first flap and second flap include notches. The first flap and second flap are folded over with the notches interlocked. The flaps can be oriented to the bottom of the box shape and weighted for stability. A second target can be mounted to the box shape over the first target.

A dummy round includes a dummy round head and a dummy round case. The dummy round head is a polymer dummy round head. The dummy round case connected to the dummy round head. The dummy round case is a metal dummy round case. Since the dummy round is composed of the polymer dummy round head and the metal dummy round case, a polymer material has relatively low costs and is easy to process and shape. By properly combining the two different materials, the overall dummy round is formed. Compared with a traditional full-plastic or full-metal round, the dummy round has an overall weight closer to that of a real round, and the production costs are reduced.

A carrier device includes a body member having two parallel sections, terminal ends of which extend in a common direction. A bracket nested with the body member has two lateral side members extending in the common direction. Each side member has a terminal end and a loop proximate the end defining a hole. An interior is defined between the sections of the body member and between the side members of the bracket. A binding member engages the sections of the body member and passes through the respective hole of each side member defined by the loop. A retention member, for retaining a magazine when inserted into the carrier device, also passes through the respective holes. The binding member draws sections of the body member toward each other to maintain frictional engagement of an inserted magazine or other article with interior contact points of the carrier device.

Various types of structures, along with associated systems, are disclosed herein and configured for responding to an energy wave for changing a state of a mechanism to which said structures are operatively coupled. In at least one embodiment, the structure provides a material selectively changeable upon exposure to the energy wave to cause at least a portion of the material to mechanically degrade from a first state to a second state. When the material is in the first state, the material forms a mechanical or electrical link with the mechanism such that a force or an electrical current can be transmitted through the structure. When the material is in the second state, degradation of at least the portion of the material disrupts the mechanical or electrical link and inhibits transmission of the force or electrical current through the structure.

A charge canister for a perforation tool has a cylindrical body with an expansion portion extending along a radius of the cylindrical body, the expansion portion having a narrow portion at a first end of the expansion portion and a wide portion at a second end of the expansion portion opposite from the first end. An explosive material is disposed within the expansion portion in direct contact with an interior surface thereof.
