A firearm safety device comprising: a magazine body comprising a non-conductive material; a metal contact located in an enhanced feed lip of the magazine body; a sensor operably positioned in an opening in a top surface of a follower configured to support one or more rounds of ammunition loaded in the magazine body, wherein the sensor and the metal contact are configured to close an analog circuit when the one or more rounds of ammunition are loaded in the magazine body; and a display device coupled to a rechargeable power source in an enhanced floor plate operative to attach to a bottom end of the magazine body, wherein the display device is configured to provide feedback indicating a presence of the one or more rounds of ammunition in the magazine body when the analog circuit is closed. a magazine body comprising a non-conductive material; a metal contact located in an enhanced feed lip of the magazine body; a sensor operably positioned in an opening in a top surface of a follower configured to support one or more rounds of ammunition loaded in the magazine body, wherein the sensor and the metal contact are configured to close an analog circuit when the one or more rounds of ammunition are loaded in the magazine body; and a display device coupled to a rechargeable power source in an enhanced floor plate operative to attach to a bottom end of the magazine body, wherein the display device is configured to provide feedback indicating a presence of the one or more rounds of ammunition in the magazine body when the analog circuit is closed.
