US12760986 - Airgun with pressurized chamber

Aspects of the invention provide a pressurization structure for an airgun having an inner barrel 4 sequentially connected at its rear end to a coaxially aligned hop-up rubber 6 which is connected to a cylinder 7 . The hop-up rubber 6 is provided with a through cavity for projectile 516 with protrusions extending radially from the inner wall of the cavity to press against the projectile 516 . The cylinder 7 has a chamber connected to the cavity, wherein a rubber piston 8 is installed, forming a sealed space between the rear of the projectile 516 and the chamber interior. A cut-off valve 9 is arranged within this sealed space. The cylinder 7 is connected to a magazine 14 that supplies propellant gas and projectiles 516 into the chamber. When pressurized gas is released from the magazine 14 , the pressurization within the chamber enables higher initial kinetic energy of the projectile 516.

airgunpneumaticnegative

The patent describes an airgun featuring a pressurized chamber that enhances projectile velocity by utilizing a sealed cylinder connected to a hop-up rubber and a magazine for propellant gas. A cut-off valve within the cylinder regulates the release of pressurized gas to propel the projectile forward when the internal pressure surpasses a specific threshold.

Claim 1

1 . An air gun comprising: a hop up rubber configured to receive a projectile and seal about the projectile; a cylinder sealed to the hop up rubber and in fluid communication with the hop up rubber, said cylinder configured to receive pressurized gas from a magazine of the air gun in response to input received at a trigger of the air gun; and a cut off valve in the cylinder comprising a valve head, a valve rod forward of the valve head and having a smaller diameter than the valve head, and a plurality of valve vanes extending outwardly from the valve rod toward walls of the cylinder; wherein the cutoff valve is configured to move the projectile forward when pressure inside the cylinder exceeds a resistance between the projectile and the hop up rubber. a hop up rubber configured to receive a projectile and seal about the projectile; a cylinder sealed to the hop up rubber and in fluid communication with the hop up rubber, said cylinder configured to receive pressurized gas from a magazine of the air gun in response to input received at a trigger of the air gun; and a cut off valve in the cylinder comprising a valve head, a valve rod forward of the valve head and having a smaller diameter than the valve head, and a plurality of valve vanes extending outwardly from the valve rod toward walls of the cylinder; wherein the cutoff valve is configured to move the projectile forward when pressure inside the cylinder exceeds a resistance between the projectile and the hop up rubber.
