US12736314 - Gun mounted recording device with quick release battery

The patent describes a gun-mounted recording device featuring a removable power source unit that includes a battery and memory, designed for easy detachment via a push button assembly. It also outlines a data management system that facilitates the transfer of stored data from the power source unit to a server through a network of charging nodes.
Claim 1
1 . A data management system for gun-mounted recording devices, the system comprising: a plurality of removable power source units for use with a plurality of recording devices, each of the plurality of removable power source units including a battery for providing power to a respective recording device while attached thereto and a memory; a plurality of charging nodes configured to receive and dock with each of the plurality of removable power source units to the batteries and configured to network with the memory; and a server device configured to network with the plurality of charging nodes, the server device comprising a processor and a second memory including a set of executable instructions in the form of a computer program product, the executable instructions executable by the processor to cause the server device to: when a respective removable power source unit of the plurality of removable power source units is docked with a respective charging node of the plurality of charging nodes, transfer data stored in the memory of the respective removable power source unit to the second memory of the server device. a plurality of removable power source units for use with a plurality of recording devices, each of the plurality of removable power source units including a battery for providing power to a respective recording device while attached thereto and a memory; a plurality of charging nodes configured to receive and dock with each of the plurality of removable power source units to the batteries and configured to network with the memory; and a server device configured to network with the plurality of charging nodes, the server device comprising a processor and a second memory including a set of executable instructions in the form of a computer program product, the executable instructions executable by the processor to cause the server device to: when a respective removable power source unit of the plurality of removable power source units is docked with a respective charging node of the plurality of charging nodes, transfer data stored in the memory of the respective removable power source unit to the second memory of the server device. a plurality of charging nodes configured to receive and dock with each of the plurality of removable power source units to the batteries and configured to network with the memory; and a server device configured to network with the plurality of charging nodes, the server device comprising a processor and a second memory including a set of executable instructions in the form of a computer program product, the executable instructions executable by the processor to cause the server device to: when a respective removable power source unit of the plurality of removable power source units is docked with a respective charging node of the plurality of charging nodes, transfer data stored in the memory of the respective removable power source unit to the second memory of the server device.
