US12704358 - Repositioning during deployment of a conducted electrical weapon from a vehicle

A payload conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”) may include a housing configured to house at least a plurality of electrodes and a signal generator. The payload CEW may be removably inserted into a bay of a launcher. The launcher may be mounted on a vehicle. The plurality of electrodes may be configured to be launched from the housing. The housing may be configured to be launched from the bay of the launcher simultaneously with or after the plurality of electrodes are launched. The signal generator may be configured to transmit a stimulus signal through the plurality of electrodes. The signal generator may be configured to transmit the stimulus signal before, during, and/or after the housing is launched.

The patent describes a vehicle-mounted conducted electrical weapon (CEW) that can launch multiple electrodes towards a target while repositioning to aim at different impact locations. The system allows for the simultaneous or sequential launching of electrodes, enhancing targeting flexibility during deployment.

Claim 1

1 . A system comprising: a vehicle; and a conducted electrical weapon configured to operate as a payload of the vehicle, wherein the conducted electrical weapon comprises a plurality of electrodes configured to be launched towards a target, and wherein the vehicle and the conducted electrical weapon are configured to cooperate to: identify a first location of impact on the target; first launch a first electrode of the plurality of electrodes towards the first location of impact on the target; reposition to aim towards a second location of impact on the target; and second launch a second electrode of the plurality of electrodes towards the second location of impact on the target. a vehicle; and a conducted electrical weapon configured to operate as a payload of the vehicle, wherein the conducted electrical weapon comprises a plurality of electrodes configured to be launched towards a target, and wherein the vehicle and the conducted electrical weapon are configured to cooperate to: identify a first location of impact on the target; first launch a first electrode of the plurality of electrodes towards the first location of impact on the target; reposition to aim towards a second location of impact on the target; and second launch a second electrode of the plurality of electrodes towards the second location of impact on the target. identify a first location of impact on the target; first launch a first electrode of the plurality of electrodes towards the first location of impact on the target; reposition to aim towards a second location of impact on the target; and second launch a second electrode of the plurality of electrodes towards the second location of impact on the target.
