US12644672 - Automated methods of collecting environmental data along a ballistic trajectory

This patent describes an automated method for collecting environmental data along a projectile’s ballistic trajectory using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The process involves converting the trajectory into a flight path with defined segments and coordinates, which the UAV navigates to gather data.
Claim 1
1 . A method for collecting environmental data along a ballistic trajectory, the method comprising: (a) automatically converting a ballistic trajectory of a projectile into a ballistic flight path comprising one or more segments, each of the segments comprising a plurality of coordinates, the coordinates located along the ballistic trajectory; (b) automatically navigating an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) along the ballistic flight path; and (c) automatically collecting environmental data along the ballistic flight path through employment of the UAV. (a) automatically converting a ballistic trajectory of a projectile into a ballistic flight path comprising one or more segments, each of the segments comprising a plurality of coordinates, the coordinates located along the ballistic trajectory; (b) automatically navigating an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) along the ballistic flight path; and (c) automatically collecting environmental data along the ballistic flight path through employment of the UAV.
