Claim 1

A bear spray canister carrying and deployment device configured to be secured around a user’s forearm comprising a webbing material having a proximal end, a bear spray canister retaining pouch having an elongated body affixed near said proximal end, a front surface, a rear surface, and a distal end, said proximal end and said distal end being detachably fastened to form an adjustable ergonomic armband sleeve adapted to be worn on a user’s forearm such that said elongated body of said retaining pouch is parallel to the user’s forearm, wherein a bear spray canister having a spray nozzle and actuator is disposed within said retaining pouch and held in fixed, non-rotating position by a securing mechanism, and oriented such that the spray nozzle and actuator of the bear spray cannister is ergonomically positioned to enable tactile finger alignment with the actuator with the hand of the forearm upon which said adjustable ergonomic armband sleeve is worn, without removal of the bear spray canister from said retaining pouch. wherein a bear spray canister having a spray nozzle and actuator is disposed within said retaining pouch and held in fixed, non-rotating position by a securing mechanism, and oriented such that the spray nozzle and actuator of the bear spray cannister is ergonomically positioned to enable tactile finger alignment with the actuator with the hand of the forearm upon which said adjustable ergonomic armband sleeve is worn, without removal of the bear spray canister from said retaining pouch.
