A viewing optic comprising: a base; a housing comprising a front side, a rear side, a left side, a right side and a top side, wherein the front side, rear side, left side and right side extend upwardly from the base, and wherein the top side extends between upper edges of the front side, rear side, left side and right side, the top side having a recess, the recess having a channel; a first control on the left side; a second control on the right side; an actuation structure that passes from the left side, across the top side through the channel of the recess, and to the right side, the actuation structure in communication with the first control and the second control; and a load absorbing/dispersing component within the recess of the top side, wherein the actuation structure passes under the load absorbing/dispersing component and is in contact with a portion of the load absorbing/dispersing component. a base; a housing comprising a front side, a rear side, a left side, a right side and a top side, wherein the front side, rear side, left side and right side extend upwardly from the base, and wherein the top side extends between upper edges of the front side, rear side, left side and right side, the top side having a recess, the recess having a channel; a first control on the left side; a second control on the right side; an actuation structure that passes from the left side, across the top side through the channel of the recess, and to the right side, the actuation structure in communication with the first control and the second control; and a load absorbing/dispersing component within the recess of the top side, wherein the actuation structure passes under the load absorbing/dispersing component and is in contact with a portion of the load absorbing/dispersing component.
