A firearm comprising: a slide comprising a slide rail; and a frame comprising a frame rail configured to extend into a recess of the slide rail, the frame rail comprising: a lubrication groove extending along a surface of the frame rail that bears against a corresponding surface of the recess of the slide rail during operation of the firearm, wherein the lubrication groove extends substantially along an entire length of the frame rail; and a debris removal port comprising a gap within the frame rail proximate to an end of the lubrication groove. a slide comprising a slide rail; and a frame comprising a frame rail configured to extend into a recess of the slide rail, the frame rail comprising: a lubrication groove extending along a surface of the frame rail that bears against a corresponding surface of the recess of the slide rail during operation of the firearm, wherein the lubrication groove extends substantially along an entire length of the frame rail; and a debris removal port comprising a gap within the frame rail proximate to an end of the lubrication groove.
