Claim 1
1 . A receiver comprising: an elongated channel machined or 3 D printed from a metallic material, where the elongated channel has a front end and a rear end and a pair of sides that extend from the front end to the rear end; a first vertically oriented slot formed in a first side of the pair of sides and a second vertically oriented slot formed in a second side of the pair of sides, where the first vertically oriented slot is disposed opposite the second vertically oriented slot; an ambidextrous bolt catch that spans a distance between the pair of sides and passes through the first vertically oriented slot and the second vertically oriented slot are configured to receive an ambidextrous bolt catch; a front trunnion having a rear portion coupled to the front end of the elongated channel and having a front portion configured to couple to a handguard; and a rear trunnion coupled to the rear end and configured to receive an accessory adapter. an elongated channel machined or 3 D printed from a metallic material, where the elongated channel has a front end and a rear end and a pair of sides that extend from the front end to the rear end; a first vertically oriented slot formed in a first side of the pair of sides and a second vertically oriented slot formed in a second side of the pair of sides, where the first vertically oriented slot is disposed opposite the second vertically oriented slot; an ambidextrous bolt catch that spans a distance between the pair of sides and passes through the first vertically oriented slot and the second vertically oriented slot are configured to receive an ambidextrous bolt catch; a front trunnion having a rear portion coupled to the front end of the elongated channel and having a front portion configured to couple to a handguard; and a rear trunnion coupled to the rear end and configured to receive an accessory adapter.
