US12553678 - Safety switch for a conducted electrical weapon

The patent describes a safety switch for conducted electrical weapons that allows for operation between a fixed and a momentary position, enabling a transition from firing to non-firing modes. The mechanism is designed so that a first force moves the switch to the momentary position, while a different second force returns it to the fixed position.
Claim 1
1 . A control interface for a conducted electrical weapon comprising: an interface; and an orientation control configured to enable the interface to move between a fixed position and a momentary position, wherein the momentary position is in a direction away from the fixed position, wherein in response to the interface being moved into the momentary position the orientation control is configured to return the interface to the fixed position, wherein a first force applied on to the interface causes the interface to move into the momentary position, wherein a second force provided by the orientation control to the interface causes the interface to return to the fixed position, and wherein the first force is a different type of force from the second force. an interface; and an orientation control configured to enable the interface to move between a fixed position and a momentary position, wherein the momentary position is in a direction away from the fixed position, wherein in response to the interface being moved into the momentary position the orientation control is configured to return the interface to the fixed position, wherein a first force applied on to the interface causes the interface to move into the momentary position, wherein a second force provided by the orientation control to the interface causes the interface to return to the fixed position, and wherein the first force is a different type of force from the second force.
