A firearm sight mounting plate assembly for a firearm, comprising: a firearm slide having a top side and a rear side, the firearm slide comprising: a catch comprising an indented surface disposed on the top side of the firearm slide and an open end facing the rear side of the firearm slide; and a mounting plate having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a front side, the mounting plate comprising: a first area configured for supporting an optic; and an anchor disposed along the front side of the mounting plate and configured for engaging the catch, the anchor comprising a first aperture extending from the top surface to the bottom surface of the mounting plate and configured for receiving a first fastener therethrough to secure the mounting plate to the firearm slide. a firearm slide having a top side and a rear side, the firearm slide comprising: a catch comprising an indented surface disposed on the top side of the firearm slide and an open end facing the rear side of the firearm slide; and a catch comprising an indented surface disposed on the top side of the firearm slide and an open end facing the rear side of the firearm slide; and a mounting plate having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a front side, the mounting plate comprising: a first area configured for supporting an optic; and an anchor disposed along the front side of the mounting plate and configured for engaging the catch, the anchor comprising a first aperture extending from the top surface to the bottom surface of the mounting plate and configured for receiving a first fastener therethrough to secure the mounting plate to the firearm slide. a first area configured for supporting an optic; and an anchor disposed along the front side of the mounting plate and configured for engaging the catch, the anchor comprising a first aperture extending from the top surface to the bottom surface of the mounting plate and configured for receiving a first fastener therethrough to secure the mounting plate to the firearm slide.
