US12510333 - Single wire hit detection apparatus
![]()
The patent describes an apparatus for hit detection that utilizes multiple overlapping hit detection patches, each containing a single coiled wire, to identify the impact location of projectiles. A controller is connected to these wires, enabling it to determine which patches have been struck.
Claim 1
1 . An apparatus for hit detection, the apparatus comprising: a plurality of hit detection patches, each of the plurality of hit detection patches comprising an associated single coiled wire, and each of the plurality of hit detection patches being disposed overlapping at least one other adjacent hit detection patch of the plurality of hit detection patches on the same plane; and a controller coupled to the associated single coiled wire of each hit detection patch of the plurality of hit detection patches, the controller configured to determine a location of one or more of the plurality of hit detection patches impacted by a projectile. a plurality of hit detection patches, each of the plurality of hit detection patches comprising an associated single coiled wire, and each of the plurality of hit detection patches being disposed overlapping at least one other adjacent hit detection patch of the plurality of hit detection patches on the same plane; and a controller coupled to the associated single coiled wire of each hit detection patch of the plurality of hit detection patches, the controller configured to determine a location of one or more of the plurality of hit detection patches impacted by a projectile.
