A lower receiver for a firearm, said lower receiver comprising: a frame, wherein said frame does not comprise a magazine well; and at least one connector configured to connect to a magazine well assembly that is configured to receive a predetermined type of magazine, thereby permitting replacement of a first magazine well assembly that is configured to receive a first type of magazine with a second magazine well assembly that is configured to receive a second type of magazine; and a bolt catch assembly positionable within said frame, said bolt catch assembly comprising a retaining feature configured to interface with said magazine well assembly. a frame, wherein said frame does not comprise a magazine well; and at least one connector configured to connect to a magazine well assembly that is configured to receive a predetermined type of magazine, thereby permitting replacement of a first magazine well assembly that is configured to receive a first type of magazine with a second magazine well assembly that is configured to receive a second type of magazine; and a bolt catch assembly positionable within said frame, said bolt catch assembly comprising a retaining feature configured to interface with said magazine well assembly.
