- A communication system comprising: a scattering panel configured for redirecting signals in a train system, the scattering panel comprising a plurality of facets, wherein: the plurality of facets together combine to provide a plurality of adjacent curved reflectors; at least one facet of the plurality of facets faces in a different direction relative to at least one other facet of the plurality of facets; at least one facet of the plurality of facets comprises structures configured for modifying signals propagating over a surface of the at least one facet in at least one direction relative to the surface; and the structures are aligned transverse to a direction of separation of the scattering panel from a source of the signals propagating over the surface of the at least one facet. a scattering panel configured for redirecting signals in a train system, the scattering panel comprising a plurality of facets, wherein: the plurality of facets together combine to provide a plurality of adjacent curved reflectors; at least one facet of the plurality of facets faces in a different direction relative to at least one other facet of the plurality of facets; at least one facet of the plurality of facets comprises structures configured for modifying signals propagating over a surface of the at least one facet in at least one direction relative to the surface; and the structures are aligned transverse to a direction of separation of the scattering panel from a source of the signals propagating over the surface of the at least one facet. the plurality of facets together combine to provide a plurality of adjacent curved reflectors; at least one facet of the plurality of facets faces in a different direction relative to at least one other facet of the plurality of facets; at least one facet of the plurality of facets comprises structures configured for modifying signals propagating over a surface of the at least one facet in at least one direction relative to the surface; and the structures are aligned transverse to a direction of separation of the scattering panel from a source of the signals propagating over the surface of the at least one facet.
