US12392576 - Blaster with accessory power connection and interchangeable nozzle components

Nozzles, nozzle assemblies, and blaster assemblies featuring interchangeable nozzles having externally powered electrical components or accessories. A nozzle assembly may include a body. The body may have a projectile opening defined therethrough. The nozzle assembly may further include an electrical component that is attachable to the body. The nozzle assembly may further include an electrical connection member coupled to the body and the electrical component. The electrical connection member may be configured to electrically connect the electrical component to the blaster.

This patent describes a toy blaster assembly featuring a nozzle assembly that includes interchangeable nozzles with electrical components powered by a battery within the blaster’s housing. The design allows for the electrical component to be connected to the blaster, enhancing functionality through the use of powered accessories.

Claim 1

  1. A toy blaster assembly comprising: a toy blaster that includes a housing defining a housing interior and a battery, wherein the housing includes a distal end having a front nozzle recess defined therein and a barrel that includes a hollow bore extending therethrough, and wherein the bore defines a bore axis; and a nozzle assembly attachable to the distal end of the housing of the toy blaster, the nozzle assembly comprising: a main body portion having a projectile opening extending therethrough, wherein the projectile opening defines a projectile opening axis that is coaxial with the bore axis, wherein at least a portion of the main body portion of the nozzle assembly is positioned forwardly of the distal end of the housing, and wherein at least a portion of the nozzle assembly extends through the front nozzle recess and into the housing interior; an electrical component associated with the main body portion; and a first nozzle electrical connection member configured to transmit power from the battery to the electrical component. a toy blaster that includes a housing defining a housing interior and a battery, wherein the housing includes a distal end having a front nozzle recess defined therein and a barrel that includes a hollow bore extending therethrough, and wherein the bore defines a bore axis; and a nozzle assembly attachable to the distal end of the housing of the toy blaster, the nozzle assembly comprising: a main body portion having a projectile opening extending therethrough, wherein the projectile opening defines a projectile opening axis that is coaxial with the bore axis, wherein at least a portion of the main body portion of the nozzle assembly is positioned forwardly of the distal end of the housing, and wherein at least a portion of the nozzle assembly extends through the front nozzle recess and into the housing interior; an electrical component associated with the main body portion; and a first nozzle electrical connection member configured to transmit power from the battery to the electrical component. a main body portion having a projectile opening extending therethrough, wherein the projectile opening defines a projectile opening axis that is coaxial with the bore axis, wherein at least a portion of the main body portion of the nozzle assembly is positioned forwardly of the distal end of the housing, and wherein at least a portion of the nozzle assembly extends through the front nozzle recess and into the housing interior; an electrical component associated with the main body portion; and a first nozzle electrical connection member configured to transmit power from the battery to the electrical component.
