The waistband includes a first portion configured to form a circumferential waist part of the article of clothing and include at least a first channel and a second channel, the first channel having an elastic band therethrough, and the second channel having drawstrings therethrough. The waistband also includes a second portion configured to include a plurality of belt loops evenly spaced and positioned along the first portion of the waistband, wherein the plurality of belt loops are configured to receive a belt assembly therethrough.

An article of clothing, comprising: a first enclosed channel configured to form a circumferential waist portion of the article of clothing, the first enclosed channel containing at least one elastic band therethrough; a second enclosed channel formed by a portion of the first channel and a portion of the elastic band, the second channel containing a drawstring; and an exposed channel formed by an interior circumferential panel of the first enclosed channel and a plurality of fabric loops and configured to receive a belt assembly therethrough, wherein the plurality of fabric loops are spaced and positioned along a wearer-facing portion of a waistband of the article of clothing, wherein each of the plurality of fabric loops is sewn into a top side and a bottom side of the waistband, and the first enclosed channel and the plurality of fabric loops share a binding seam at the bottom side of the waistband. a first enclosed channel configured to form a circumferential waist portion of the article of clothing, the first enclosed channel containing at least one elastic band therethrough; a second enclosed channel formed by a portion of the first channel and a portion of the elastic band, the second channel containing a drawstring; and an exposed channel formed by an interior circumferential panel of the first enclosed channel and a plurality of fabric loops and configured to receive a belt assembly therethrough, wherein the plurality of fabric loops are spaced and positioned along a wearer-facing portion of a waistband of the article of clothing, wherein each of the plurality of fabric loops is sewn into a top side and a bottom side of the waistband, and the first enclosed channel and the plurality of fabric loops share a binding seam at the bottom side of the waistband.
