Claim 1
- A magazine for a compact rifle-caliber firearm comprising: wherein the magazine is configured to be inserted within a grip of the compact rifle-caliber firearm and receive a plurality of rifle cartridges having a cartridge length; a forward wall having a forward wall interior surface and a rearward wall having a ridgeless rearward wall interior surface; feed lips positioned at an upper end of the magazine; a follower positioned between the forward and rearward walls and biased towards the upper end of the magazine, the follower having an upper surface including a fixed angle forward portion and a pivotal rearward portion biased to align an uppermost rifle cartridge of the plurality of rifle cartridges with the feed lips of the magazine; and wherein the uppermost rifle cartridge is configured to be oriented at a first cartridge angle relative to the rearward wall interior surface and at least a portion of the uppermost rifle cartridge extends past the forward wall. wherein the magazine is configured to be inserted within a grip of the compact rifle-caliber firearm and receive a plurality of rifle cartridges having a cartridge length; a forward wall having a forward wall interior surface and a rearward wall having a ridgeless rearward wall interior surface; feed lips positioned at an upper end of the magazine; a follower positioned between the forward and rearward walls and biased towards the upper end of the magazine, the follower having an upper surface including a fixed angle forward portion and a pivotal rearward portion biased to align an uppermost rifle cartridge of the plurality of rifle cartridges with the feed lips of the magazine; and wherein the uppermost rifle cartridge is configured to be oriented at a first cartridge angle relative to the rearward wall interior surface and at least a portion of the uppermost rifle cartridge extends past the forward wall.
