US12339094 - Attaching a grip attachment or other attachment in a recoil environment at threadless region(s)

firearmgripattachmentrecoil
The patent describes a grip attachment for firearms that features a threadless region allowing for slidable coupling to a grip, enabling restricted fore/aft movement. Additionally, it incorporates a spring-biased interface to maintain the attachment’s position relative to the grip while allowing movement along a non-parallel axis.
Claim 1
- A grip attachment having a threadless region to couple to one or more corresponding threadless regions of at least a portion of a grip, the threadless region of the grip attachment comprising: a slidable attachment interface to restrict a coupling movement of the grip attachment relative to the at least the portion of the grip to a fore/aft movement, wherein the coupling movement is along a plane; and an additional interface associated with a spring-biased part, the additional interface to restrict a fore/aft position of the grip attachment relative to the at least the portion of the grip; the additional interface configured to constrain the spring-biased part to movement along an axis of movement, wherein the axis of movement is not parallel with the plane. a slidable attachment interface to restrict a coupling movement of the grip attachment relative to the at least the portion of the grip to a fore/aft movement, wherein the coupling movement is along a plane; and an additional interface associated with a spring-biased part, the additional interface to restrict a fore/aft position of the grip attachment relative to the at least the portion of the grip; the additional interface configured to constrain the spring-biased part to movement along an axis of movement, wherein the axis of movement is not parallel with the plane.
