US12287170 - Projectile launcher maintained breech pressure feature

The patent describes a projectile launcher featuring a two-part bolt system that allows for precise projectile loading and launching through the use of pressurized air. The design includes a spring-biased ball holder and an adjustable barrel detent to enhance projectile performance by creating backspin.
Claim 1
- A projectile launcher with a two-part bolt comprising: a forward bolt and a rear bolt; said forward bolt having a first end that moves a projectile and a second end that is configured to fit within a recess of said rear bolt; said forward bolt is biased in an extended position from a first end of said rear bolt with a spring; said forward bolt and a rear bolt having an inside diameter that is configured for air to pass therethrough; a pin that limits movement of said forward bolt in said rear bolt, wherein said pin is retained in a slot in said forward bolt, and a forward bolt and a rear bolt; said forward bolt having a first end that moves a projectile and a second end that is configured to fit within a recess of said rear bolt; said forward bolt is biased in an extended position from a first end of said rear bolt with a spring; said forward bolt and a rear bolt having an inside diameter that is configured for air to pass therethrough; a pin that limits movement of said forward bolt in said rear bolt, wherein said pin is retained in a slot in said forward bolt, and said pin is retained by pin keeper spring that extends at least partially around said rear bolt.
